Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce offering scholarship to business student

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce annually awards scholarships to deserving local students. The Chamber wishes to recognize and encourage students who have been involved in community activities and will be pursuing a career in a business field.

Students must reside within the Chardon School District and have applied to enter a two- or four-year accredited school or college and will be majoring in a business field. The scholarships will be awarded to a well-rounded future business major who has exhibited strong community involvement and maintains at least a 3.0 grade-point average.

Applications for the scholarship may be obtained at the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce office or online at the Chamber’s website.

Applications must be received by the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce or post-marked by April 1.  Awards will be announced in May.

Lake County Farm Bureau offering scholarships

The Lake County Farm Bureau is offering scholarships to students who have been admitted to a two- or four-year institution of higher learning.

Applicants must be residents of Lake County, and they or their parents/guardians must be a member of the Lake County Farm Bureau. Applications must include three references, one of which must be a Farm Bureau member. Students must prove enrollment or letter of admission, and be considered a full-time students. Applicants must be majoring in an agriculture-related field and must have a 3.0 grade-point average.

The scholarship is a renewable award.

Geauga County Master Gardener Volunteers offtering two scholarships

Geauga County Master Gardener volunteers are offering two $1,000 scholarships to any Geauga County high school senior or high school graduate who is planning to attend or is attending the Ohio State University or the Ohio State University, Agriculture Technical Institute, Wooster Campus, pursuing a degree in the related fields of horticulture, agriculture or environmental science.

Applications are available at www.geauga.osu.edu or through the OSU Extension at 440-834-4656.

Applications must be received at the OSU Extension Office at P.O. Box 387, Burton, OH 44021, by April 30.

Wickliffe Scholarship Foundation offering five awards

The Wickliffe Scholarship Foundation will award five scholarships, worth a minimum of $1,000 each, to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Wickliffe and who are planning to attend a college, university, technical or trade school in the fall.

Applications can be obtained at area high schools or at the Wickliffe Public Library.

Deadline is April 15.
