From a notice emailed to Willoughby Middle School parents and guardians:

Though frigid temperatures closed school for three days this week, Willoughby Middle School is set to host the 2014 Willoughby-Eastlake City School District Middle School Spelling Bee on Thursday, Jan. 30, as long as school is in session that day.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the WMS cafeteria. Students competing in the Scripps-Howard sanctioned Spelling Bee are from Eastlake, Willowick and Willoughby Middle Schools.

Families and friends of the participants are encouraged to attend.
